Marla McKenna

Marla was born in Wausau, Wisconsin and now lives with her family near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Marla McKenna photo website copy

While in school, Marla was involved in music, sports and theater. She graduated from Wausau West High School, and then went on to attend the University of Wisconsin receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism – Advertising and Public Relations. Marla has always been passionate about the creative aspect of writing and graphic design, and her work has appeared in magazines, brochures, newsletters, billboards, dvds and radio spots.

Marla enjoys spending time at the cabin, going to concerts and baseball games, playing the piano, and walking her dog, Sadie. As an avid dog lover, she strongly supports helping all animals find loving homes especially those that have been abused and neglected.

Marla is grateful for the loving relationships she has with her family and friends, while focusing on the positive influences in her life and giving back. Mom’s Big Catch is Marla’s first children’s book, and is inspired by an actual event that took place at Miller Park!  Mom’s Big Catch is a book that can be celebrated by baseball fans of all ages.  It also conveys a positive message with a warm sense of family!
